Gala Dinner to celebrate Olympic success

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Friday 20th May saw more than 180 members and guests attend Curl Edinburgh for our Gala Dinner to celebrate the Olympic success of our own Bruce Mouat & Jennifer Dodds, who were also presented with their World Curling Federation banner for winning the 2021 World Mixed Doubles Championship (above).

The ice hall had been thoroughly furnished by staff and volunteers, with lighting supplied by Sparkling Lights, draping, and professional AV equipment utterly transforming the ambiance to suit this magnificent occasion.

The evening began with a drinks reception at 7pm, during which attendees could chat with Jen & Bruce and admire their Olympic Gold and Silver medals. This was followed by a three course dinner with wine, and a Question & Answer session hosted by Phillip Hourigan. There was also a raffle with proceeds split between the clubroom development project and Bruce & Jen’s chosen charity: SAMH (Scottish Assocation for Mental Health).
