Team Kesley Headed to Sweden

We’re delighted to congratulate Team Kesley on their huge win at last weekend’s Ferguson Oliver Scottish Curling Senior Championship! The win means Murrayfield will be sending four curlers to Oestersund, Sweden for the World Senior Curling Championship on April 21-28.

The squad faced Team Robertson in the final. Their opponents took an early lead in the first end, but Team Kesley soon found their stride and scored two points in each of the next three ends. By the sixth, their lead was insurmountable, and the two teams shook hands at a final score of 8-3.

Team Kesley is skipped by Susan Kesley of Currie and Balerno. Her teammates are Fran Stretton of Gogar Park Curling Club, Vicky Gumley of Stewarts Melville FP, and Morna Aitken of Currie and Balerno.

They will be joined in Sweden by Morna’s husband and coach David Aitken. David also coaches Mixed Doubles team Gina Aitken and Bruce Mouat.
