ECC Extraordinary General Meeting, Nov 12
Over the summer the Edinburgh Curling Club board contacted a firm of lawyers to review our current Memorandum of Association and produce Articles which are legal, up-to-date, and comply with current legislation.
They combined the three documents we had into one fit for purpose set of Articles. It was hoped that at the AGM in September that the special resolution relating to the articles could have been voted on. However, we received feedback from Sports Scotland requesting changes too late to give the necessary notice period.
The ECC board therefore decided that the special resolution be removed from the agenda, and it would be dealt with at an Extraordinary General Meeting convened for the specific purpose of voting on the articles. The proposed articles and the notice of the meeting are available online.
The Extraordinary General Meeting will be on Monday, November 12, at 7 p.m., in the clubroom.
You can also review the current articles should you wish.
We hope you will be able to attend.
