Nail biting start to the Swan Trophy!

The first round of the Swan Trophy, now kindly sponsored by Graham’s The Family Dairy, saw a draw shot decider between Mid Calder and Oxenfoord!  The Mid Calder rink skipped by Basil Baird beat Oxenfoord rink skipped by Trevor Dodds 5-3. Meanwhile on the other sheet the Mid Calder rink skipped by Stewart Barr was 2 shots down on the Oxenfoord rink skipped by Calum Harvey – aggregate score of 9 all – the one draw shot per club followed with Mid Calder pipping Oxenfoord to the next round.

Meanwhile, the other 2 games were rather quiet in comparison – Haddington versus Penicuik with the aggregate score of Haddington 16, Penicuik 6.

Next round will see Yester take on East Linton and Corstorphine against Currie & Balerno on 24 November.
